    Constructed as a Me-262A-1.

    14 March 1945

    Otto Kaiser took the airframe up for a 15 minutes test flight from the Waldwerk Obertaubling factory near Regensburg.

    Transferred to Lufthansa, Eger-Cheb, Czechoslovakia.
    Flown to another field for conversion to an unarmed reconnaissance aircraft.

    Converted to a Me-262A-1a/U3.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Luftwaffe with s/n 25 white.

    From 12 April 1945 to 29 April 1945

    Transferred to Nahaufkarungsgruppe 6, Lechfeld.

    Transferred to Nahaufkarungsgruppe 6, Kaltenkitchen.
    Brief deployment.

    Transferred to Nahaufkarungsgruppe 6, Lechfeld.
    The unit returned to Lechfeld to ensure they were surrendering to allied forces.

    8 May 1945

    Transferred to 54th Air Disarmament Squadron.
    Captured by U.S. forces.

    Markings Applied: Connie, the Sharp Article
    The Luftwaffe markings were covered over and USAAF markings were applied. Master Sergeant H.L. Preston painted the name on the aircraft in reference to his wife.

    Markings Applied: Pick II
    As the airframe was being prepared for a flight to France. Lt. Roy Brown of the 86th Fighter Group painted over the name with Pick II. His P-47 had been named Pick for his wife.

    Ferry flight.
    Flew from Lechfeld to St. Dizier, France, for refueling. Then flown fo Cherbourg.

    19 July 1945

    Loaded on the HMS Reaper for shipment to New Jersey.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n FE-4012.

    The nose was replaced with the nose from FE-111.

    New serial number assigned: T2-4102 USAF

    To Howard Hughes.
    Had planned to race the plane in the Bendix and use it in the filming of a movie.

    To Cal-Aero Tech, Grand Central Air Terminal in Glendale, CA.

    To Ed Maloney.
    Mr. Maloney was able to obtain the airframe when the airport was designated to be closed and converted to an industrial park.

    Mr. Maloney had remained the owner and sold the airframe to the Flying Heritage Collection directly and directed the funds raised into the operation of the museum.
