    Constructed as a F2H-4.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 127614.

    By March 1956

    Transferred to MCAS Kaneohe, Kailua, Oahu, HA.

    Transferred to Air Wing VAW-11, NAS North Island, San Diego, CA.

    22 February 1959

    Crashed.
    Went down in the hills near Saratoga, CA while on a flight from NAS North Island, San Diego, to NAS Oakland (some sources also claim it was NAS Alameda) via NAS Moffett, San Jose. The pilot was Lt. James F. Wyley, and Lt. Wyley perished in the crash. It is presumed the aircraft impacted terrain while on approach to Moffett.
