    Demonstration for Air Minister Colin Gibson and air attaches of USA, Russia, Norway, Belgium, France and Peru.

    23 October 1945

    Demonstration for J.A.D. McCurdy who had made the first flight in Canada in February 1909.

    Dismantled.

    Transported by rail

    April 1946

    Transferred to Winter Experimental Establishment (WEE), Edmonton, AB.
    Trials carried out at Edmonton.

    4 May 1946

    EE311 and EE361 practised formation flying.

    5 May 1946

    Air show in Edmonton was the first multiple jet display in Canada.

    29 June 1946

    Crashed.
    During a transit flight from Edmonton to Hamilton for an air show, Lt. Bill McKenzie ran out of fuel due to a malfunctioning external fuel tank and ditched the plane in Helenbar Lake. Its a shallow lake so its tail was just above the surface.

    15 July 1946

    Bill McKenzie was officially declared dead by the RCAF after a search effort had found nothing.

    23 July 1946

    After staying with the plane as he had been told, a rain and hail storm doused the fire he had managed to maintain so he had to head out on his own.

    25 July 1946

    He heard an outboard motor boat, saw a fisherman and was taken to Laurentian Lodge on Flack Lake-about 20 miles north of what is now the city of Elliot Lake.

    Two engines arrived in CFB Trenton by truck from Sudbury.
