    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-15536.

    To unknown owner with c/r NC39334.

    By 4 February 1962

    To Faucett with c/r OB-PBH-530 (Douglas C-53-DO (DC-3), 7331).

    Crashed.
    Summary: The airframe was written off. There were 18 fatalities. The domestic scheduled passenger flight departed Huanuco Airport (HUU/SPHV), Peru and was destined for Pucallpa Airport (PCL/SPCL), Peru. The accident occurred at 17 km (10. 6 mls) NE of Tingo Maria (Peru) while en route. Narrative: Bad weather along the route forced the crew to return to Huanuco. This message, at 09:55, was the last one received from the flight. Eyewitnesses reported the aircraft falling and revolving in its descent to the ground...
