    To W. J. Browne of Stockton, CA keeping c/r NC5427.

    To Harry Newell, Phoenix, AZ keeping c/r NC5427.

    1945

    The biplane was converted for use in crop dusting andseeding. A hopper, agitator, and gearbox were installed. The elevator controls were modified, and a center section fuel tank was installed. The Hisso was removed, and a 9-cylinder, 220-hp Wright Whirlwind J-5A was installed.

    By 1947

    To Wayne J. Kempainen and James A. Strand/FARM Aero Service, Phoenix, AZ keeping c/r NC5427.

    1947

    The Wright J-5A and motor mount removed, and a Lycoming motor mount and Lycoming R680-9 installed, along with a Stearman oil tank and modified exhaust stackthat extended over the top wing.

    From By February 1970 to 1983

    To Captain Spencer Nelson, San Diego.
    For re-build.

    From 1983 to 1991

    Restoration continued.
    Moved to Leland Jones of Anchorage, Alaska.

    8 December 1995

    Certificate of airworthiness for N5427 (4000, 516) issued.

    15 January 1998

    To Carolyn Anne Jones, Anchorage, AK with new c/r N5427.

    10 November 2004

    To Joseph W. Santana, Waynesboro, VA keeping c/r N5427.
