    Transferred to RAF High Speed Flight, RAF Tangmere.

    7 September 1946

    Group Captain Teddy Donaldson set a new world speed record of 615.78 mph in EE549 flying off the Sussex coast at Rustington.

    June 1952

    Transferred to RAF Cranwell.
    As a Ground Instruction airframe.

    New serial number assigned: 7008M RAF

    1972

    To RAF Museum, Grahame Park Way, Hendon, London, England.
