    26 March 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 53-4213.

    Transferred to 308th Bombardment Wing (Medium) (SAC), Hunter AFB, GA.

    Deployed to Sidi Slimane Air Base, Morocco.

    Transferred to 98th Bombardment Wing (Medium) (SAC), Lincoln AFB, NE.

    7 December 1965

    Flown to Wichita, KS airport. Participated in Operation Fast Fly, which was retirement of last B-47s in service.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    Loaned to City of Wichita, KS.
    Originally parked on the Mid-Continent Airport at Wichita, in December 1969 it was mounted on a concrete pole on the west side of town, just to the south of highway 54.
