    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number ANC70A0040: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 16:35 hours. The damage was substantial. Incident occurred at the Pt. mcintyre Airport, Barrow, AK. The flight departed from Sagwon, AK, with the destination Barrow, AK. Undershot while on final approach to land. Collided with a dirt bank on touch down. The factors included; approach lighting. Report remarks include: Pilot blinded by flashing strobe lt. Short rwy.

    23 May 1992

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at Alexander Creek, AK, United States while cruising. The damage was substantial. The pilot stated he wanted to turn on the cabin heat so he reached down and pulled a handle without looking at which handle he was pulling. He inadvertently shut off the fuel shut off. The cabin heat handle and the emergency fuel shut off are located on the center pedestal, behind the vertical column of the control yoke, about 8 inches apart...

The amphibious float-equipped airplane was returning to a lodge located on a remote lake after picking up supplies. The airplane departed from a paved runway on an airport. En route to the destination lake, the pilot noted the airplane would not attain its normal cruise airspeed and attitude...
