    Notes: NASA testing a Paraglider Research Vehicle, short Paresev, by towing it behind a Stearman, as a potential landing mode for spaceflight. They didnt further develop it, but this Rogallo wing concept turned into the grandfather for the hang glider

Report remarks include: Pilot attempted turnaround over rising terraian. Incident occurred at or near Porterville, CA.
