    Constructed as a B-29A-55-BN by Boeing at Renton, Washington, USA.

    13 July 1945

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-61975.

    August 1945

    Transferred to 114th Army Air Force Base Unit (Combat Crew Training Station-Very Heavy), 1st Air Force, Chatham Army Air Field, Savannah, GA.

    November 1945

    Transferred to 317th Army Air Force Base Unit (Combat Crew Training Station-Very Heavy), 3rd Air Force, Macdill Army Air Field, FL.

    March 1946

    Transferred to Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Warner-Robins Air Depot, Warner-Robins Army Air Field, GA.

    March 1946

    Converted to a TB-29A.

    March 1946

    Transferred to 426th AAFBU (Combat Crew Training Station-Heavy, Mountain Home AFB, ID.

    18 September 1947

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 44-61975.

    Circa 1950

    Converted to a B-29A.
    Converted back to armed bomber.

    From Circa 1950 to Circa 1953

    Deployed during Korean War: flew between Molesworth, England and Wheeler AFB, Libya, on special assignment as Cold War deterrent.

    April 1953

    Transferred to 582nd Air Resupply Squadron, 582nd Air Resupply and Communication Wing, Great Falls AFB, MT.

    21 August 1953

    Damaged.
    Mid-air collision (class 3) 7 miles WSW of Blairsville, GA. Repaired.

    1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 44-61975.

    From 1960 to After 1974

    Ferry flight. Delivered to U. S. Army Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD.
    Used as target for weapons testing. Rear fuselage damaged.

    June 1973

    Recovered.
    Recovered from Aberdeen 1973 by members of the Bradley Air Museum (later to be renamed the New England Air Museum). Aircraft remained at Aberdeen. Also acquired was rear fuselage of 44-61739.

    1976

    Transported by ground. Delivered to New England Air Museum, Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, CT.
    Disassembled and moved to the museum.

    Restored.
    Restored for static display using rear fuselage from 44-61739.

    October 1979

    Damaged.
    The aircraft was damaged during a tornado.

    1998

    Restoration started.
    Restoration sponsored by 58th Bomb Wing Association.

    Markings Applied: Jack s Hack, 44-61566
    Finished in the markings of a B-29 which served on Tinian with the 468th Bomb Group of the 58th Bomb Wing.
