    Greg Ely comments (24 May 2019): I am one of the new owners of Annie and we are in the progress of installing new gear and moving her to a hanger for repairs on or about 1 June 2019. Wish us luck!.

    Greg Ely comments (16 January 2020): The aircraft, known as Annie, because of a name written inside the structure, has new used landing gear, and was moved into a hanger @ Livermore AP (LVK) for repairs. Progress on the restoration can be followed on Facebook or by Googling Valiant Effort LLC The hopes are to have her back in the air in 2 to 3 years.

    Taurus Fey comments (12 January 2021): Hi, Taurus here, another one of the owners on Annie. Thanks to Greg for the previous post. Here is an update. Our new engine is ordered and the prop is going out for overhaul. We are planning to attend the WASP museum homecoming May 8th with the plane. Were getting close!

    Grey Ely comments (12 September 2023): Current status: rebuilt landing gear, brakes, brake lines, wheel bearings, repairs to rudder cables, new hoses, and much more has been done in the last 2 years. New engine and propeller ready to be installed in late September,2023 hoping for engine tests in early spring. Its not easy (or cheap) to restore a warbird!
