    Carried elements of the 505th Parachute infantry Regiment on D-Day.

    Flew in Operation Market Garden.

    Aircraft suffered combat damage during WWII.

    Assigned to Germany with the 61st, 12th, and 60th Troop Carrier Groups.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 43-15510.

    By 1948

    Transferred to 7290th Air Base Group, Germany.
    Flew in Berlin Air Lift.

    January 1949

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Turk Hava Kuvvetleri with s/n 43-15510.

    Transferred to 169th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 126th Fighter Bomber Group, Illinois ANG, Greater Peoria Airport, IL.
