    Restored.
    The rebuild was work was carried out at Chino, CA. This was a composite restoration using the airframe of VZ368 and components from s/n VZ350. Configured as a racer with a PandW R-4360 installed.

    As mentioned, components from the former VZ350 were used in the restoration.

    Bradley Haskin comments (1 November 2019): Around that same time, Frank Sanders imported a disassembled Tmk. 20 airframe from the Burmese Air Force, VZ386. It was in poor condition in several shipping crates. Frank also purchased the wreckage of N20SF, as well as assuming the registration number. All of that sat out back of the hangar at Chino for a few years until Frank was flying chase on one of the initial test flights for the Bud Light Special (Super Corsair) in 1982. That was what gave him the idea to put a 4360 on a Sea Fury. They took the Burmese airframe (VZ386) and used parts of the wrecked VZ350 and built up Dreadnought from it, assuming the registration of N20SF, first flying in August of 1983.     27 April 2014

    Involved in an incident.
    There was one fatality. The accident occurred at the Eagles Nest Airport (CA20) Richmond, CA, United States while maneuvering. The damage was substantial. The Sea Fury pilot and the Cessna pilot had flown their airplanes to a nearby airport to display them at an open house. The two pilots then briefed the return flights with each other and determined their flight routes. The Sea Fury departed, flew over the airport and rendezvoused with another airplane for a photo shoot...

    The repairs included replacing the damaged tail.

    Raced as #8, named Dreadnought.
    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Unlimited class. The primary pilot was Joel Swager from Ione, CA. Qualified in 2nd place with an average speed of 441.464 mph. The engine failed as Dreadnought passed the home pylon at the end of the second qualifying lap. A mayday was declared, and Mr. Swager made highly skill landing on runway 14 without further incident. After the races Dreadnought was loaded onto a trailer and moved back to Ione.
